Yamunotri

Yamunotri is the source of the Yamuna River. It is famous for its temple dedicated to the goddess Yamuna. Pilgrims also visit the hot springs at Janki Chatti, where they can cook rice in the hot water as an offering to the goddess. The trek to Yamunotri is about 6 kilometres from Janki Chatti.

Gangotri

Gangotri is the origin of the Ganges River, known as the Ganga. The temple here is dedicated to the goddess Ganga. Pilgrims often take a dip in the holy waters of the river at Gangotri. The temple is surrounded by stunning mountains and lush forests, making it a peaceful spot for worship.

Kedarnath

Kedarnath is one of the twelve Jyotirlingas of Lord Shiva. The Kedarnath Temple is located at a high altitude and is surrounded by snow-capped peaks. The trek to Kedarnath is about 16 kilometres from Gaurikund. Despite the challenging journey, many devotees visit the temple for its spiritual significance and natural beauty.

Badrinath

Badrinath is dedicated to Lord Vishnu and is one of the most important temples in India. The temple is located between the Nar and Narayan mountain ranges. The Tapt Kund hot springs near the temple are also a major attraction for pilgrims. Badrinath is accessible by road, making it easier to visit compared to the other three shrines.
