Amarnath is one of the most sacred pilgrimage destinations in India, especially revered by followers of Lord Shiva. It is located in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir, at an altitude of around 3,888 meters (12,756 ft) in the Himalayas.

The Andaman Islands, nestled in the Bay of Bengal, are a tropical paradise known for their pristine beaches, crystal-clear waters, rich marine life, and lush rainforests. Whether you’re a beach lover, adventure seeker, or history enthusiast, the Andamans offer something for everyone.

Close your eyes and picture this: turquoise waters lapping at powdery white shores, a sea breeze dancing through coconut palms, and sunsets that turn the sky into a canvas of gold and coral. That’s Andaman, a dream you don’t need a passport for.
Comprising over 300 islands scattered like emeralds across the Bay of Bengal, the Andaman & Nicobar Islands are still blissfully untouched by commercial chaos. Whether you’re a honeymooner looking for quiet romance, a family craving quality time, or a thrill-seeker chasing your next underwater dive, Andaman tour packages by Swan Tours offer something extraordinary for every kind of traveller.

Amarnath
amarnath
  • The Amarnath Cave houses a naturally formed ice Shivling, believed to wax and wane with the phases of the moon.
  • The ice formation is considered a symbol of Lord Shiva, and lakhs of devotees visit it every year during the Amarnath Yatra.

Mythological Significance:

  • According to legend, this is the place where Lord Shiva revealed the secret of immortality (Amar Katha) to Goddess Parvati.
  • To ensure secrecy, he left behind all companions including Nandi, the moon, and even the five elements.

Amarnath Yatra:

  • The yatra usually takes place in July–August, during the Hindu month of Shravan.
  • Two main trekking routes:
    1. Pahalgam route (longer and more traditional, about 46 km)
    2. Baltal route (shorter but steeper, about 14 km)
